Bobby Flay Divorce: Stephanie March Can Get Hefty Compensation
It has been two months since the news of separation between celebrity chef Bobby Flay and his actress wife Stephanie March came to surface. On Thursday, they were in court for divorce proceedings.
The news is making much of a stir not only because of the case itself but also because the estranged wife accused him of having an affair with three women. One of them is January Jones, who was seen in “Mad Men.”
The couple going through a bitter time sat at opposite ends of the courtroom while lawyers privately talked with Supreme Court Justice Matthew Cooper, according to NY Daily News.
According to ET Online news, Richard Roth, an entertainment attorney, said, “It’s very hard to prove and win a cheating case because you need the evidence.”
He added, “If in fact [March] can deem that pre-nuptial agreement to be null and void, then she would get what’s allowed for under the law. If he’s allegedly worth $20 million and that was and that was earned during the marriage, she goes from $5,000 a month and $1 million to a $10 million payout.”
March and Flay had been together for the last 14 years. They got married on Feb. 20, 2005. Bobby was previously married to Kate Connelly and Chef Debra Ponzek.
