Are Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani trying the knot soon? Did “The Voice” producer Matt Burnett just spill details about the couple’s wedding?
After taking home an award for best reality show at the 2016 Emmy Awards, Matt Burnett said that he is hoping to be in attendance if and when Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani say “I do,” US Weekly reports.
“I’m really hoping that I get invited to the wedding,” said the 56-year-old producer taking to reporters. However, about the couple’s romance, he said he never thought about the possibility.
Matt Burnett said that he was happy for both Blake and Gwen. He added that he never knew the couple would hit it off working together on a fun music show, People reports.
The Voice producer was also happy that after very difficult times, they found love in each other. “We are all thrilled to be their friends and see the happiness,” Burnett said.
He added that both Blake and Gwen have gone through “dark times,” emotionally in their relationships. Burnett said that the couple found light in their journey.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani met at “The Voice” last fall. Both began dating after meeting on the show as judges. It’s been around a year that the couple are together and wedding bells don’t seem to be too far for them.
Both Blake and Gwen have had their share of heartbreaks. The 40-year-old ended his four-year marriage with Miranda Lambert in July 2015.
Meanwhile, in August last year, Gwen Stefani, 46, announced that she Gavin Rosedale was splitting after 13 years of marriage. It was reported that Gavin was cheating on Gwen with Mindy Mann, their children’s nanny. The former couple shared three sons.
Indeed, wedding bells seem to be close for both “The Voice” judges, but it must be noted that the couple are not yet engaged. A source close to Gwen told People in August. “Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though,” the insider added.
