‘The Blacklist’ Season 4 Spoilers: Liz, Tom To Part Ways Soon?
When one of the main actors moves onto the spin-off of a show, it is common knowledge that he will not be able to devote as much time to the original show. With “The Blacklist: Redemption” now a reality, Megan Boone hints that Liz and Tom might go their separate ways in the near future.Advertisement
‘The Blacklist’ Spin-Off
With Ryan Eggold, who plays Tom Keen on “The Blacklist,” confirming the news that he will portray the lead in the upcoming spin-off, it is kind of obvious that he will have to leave the show soon. However, he did confirm that he will be returning for a few episodes in season 4.
As the pilot indicated, “The Blacklist: Redemption” will follow Tom’s journey with his mother Susan Hargrave as they uncover secrets and solve high-profile government problems, reports Deadline.
‘The Blacklist’ Season 4
As for “The Blacklist” season 4, it certainly does not look good for Mr. and Mrs. Keen. If Tom is required to disappear after a few episodes, what does it mean for Elizabeth?
“I don’t think we’re at the happily-ever-after point of The Blacklist… I’m not sure we’ll ever be,” admitted Megan Boone in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
It is hard to imagine Tom running around killing criminals and rule-breakers with a crying Agnes on his back. Hence, there is big possibility that Agnes gets to stay with Liz while Tom leaves to join his mother. However, producer of “The Blacklist” John Eisendrath has made it clear that no matter what happens, the show will never get tied up in too much domestic drama.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eisendrath clarified that the “audience can relate to with obligations of parenting and desires to find out truths about themselves that might pull them apart from each other.” And that will be the extent of family drama fans of the show should expect to see.
At the end of the day, “The Blacklist” is an action-packed thriller, and fans expect to be on the edge of their seats instead of reaching for a box of tissues when they tune in.
