What's This?

Last week, we told you about a new smartphone from Blackberry that will be running on Android, not on Blackberry’s own operating system. But now the news is, though Blackberry’s new phone, Blackberry Venice, would be running on Android, it will have features of BB10. So, BB fans who were not much excited about an Android phone from the company can now rejoice.

Features of Blackberry 10 on Venice

Evan Blass, who had leaked the pictures of Blackberry Venice last time, is the one who has leaked the news of Android being combined with BB10 to bring users some of the features of Blackberry’s operating system. Listed below are some of the features you can expect in Venice:

1. Blackberry Hub
2. Blackberry Experience Suite
3. Custom Apps
4. BBM
5. Unified Contacts and Calendars

Every brand has a specialty and they do not want to replace it with any of the new trends. Fair enough! These specialties always have a loyal fan base and disappointing them by trading the old with the new is not a smart step.

What else can you expect from Blackberry Venice?

Blackberry is not giving up on keyboard yet. Yes, the device will come with a slider keyboard which looks stylish as well. If rumors are to be believed, the rear camera can be anywhere between 10 megapixels to 16 megapixels. Though no details about Blackberry Venice have been given by the company yet, it is hard to tell the exact features.

Till the company makes an official announcement, all we can do is expect the best. As we mentioned last time, Blackberry Venice can truly be a game changer, and the news of an operating system like Android being modified to bring in features of BB10 says just the same.
