BlackBerry is back in action with Priv, and the phone is selling. Not just selling. It’s getting out of stock pretty quickly. People are loving this first Android phone from BlackBerry, and fans are rejoicing for the comeback of the brand. But we still suggest that you do not buy this handset immediately. Why? A BlackBerry Priv price cut, that’s why.

Reports suggest that a BlackBerry Priv price cut is going to happen soon. In February 2016, the company may drop the price of its Android phone. The exact numbers aren’t final yet. But yes, any drop past $699 is good news, as many people are definitely refraining from buying Priv because of its price tag.

According to Ubergizmo, “John Chen mentioned some time last week that the BlackBerry Priv will be on the receiving end of a price cut this coming February.” Experts believe BlackBerry may announce the drop at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona from February 22 to 25, 2016.

So if you have been planning to buy this smartphone, it would be better to wait a few more months. But as nothing has been confirmed yet, you may choose not to wait and get the handset right now. Currently, BlackBerry is also offering a case and dock worth $95 for free if you buy any BlackBerry phones from This offer is valid only until January 5, 2016.
