Whether it’s a Marvel or a DC movie, a studio always does works on a superhero costume. After the appearance of Black Panther in Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa rose to fame among Marvel fans. So can we expect a new Black Panther costume in the hero’s film debut? This concept art says we should.
Black Panther a part Marvel Phase III
Jerad S. Marantz, a concept artist known for his previous works with Green Lantern and X-Men: First Class, recently released graphical sketches of the Black Panther costume. The costume has prioritized the body’s tone in detail and sort of looks skin-fit, although it should technically be Vibranium reinforced.
Marvel fans may feel frustrated with this take. The costume resembles a lot to Batman’s. Upon closer look, we can see a difference in texture on the mask and a change in the eye color! However, the concept art is merely a possibility, not a confirmation. According to IGN, Marantz was a part of the in-house team that worked on the Black Panther concept art for Captain America: Civil War.
In Captain America: Civil War, T’Challa mentions that Black Panther’s suit has been worn by his ancestors passed down from kings. Although this suggests the costume to be unaltered, Comic Book Movie speculates that every time a king holds the title, he/she gets his/her own suit.
In other news, the fate of the Winter Solider, Bucky Barnes, was left hanging in the hands of Wakanda scientists in Captain America: Civil War. While some of us expect his return after Infinity War Part One, Sebastian Stan gave a tease during his talk at Wizard World in Philadelphia.
He said, “I don’t know, man. I mean, there’s obviously a very clear answer but I’m not maybe (allowed to) say it, now. Where did he end up at the end of the movie? That’s the movie he should be in. I feel like that would be the natural… But I don’t know.”
Well, the theory adds up! We believe it’s possibly that science geeks at Wakanda could figure a way to fix the Hydra programming in the mind of our Winter Solider.
