Bill Cosby and his legal advisors are so set to recover the comedian’s reputation back that they are fighting for his wife, Camille Cosby, to refuse a sworn deposition. They claimed that the seven women who accused Cosby of sexual assault will only shame her in court.

Earlier this year, seven accusers out of the 50 women have publicly claimed that famous comedian, Bill Cosby, has sexually assaulted them for over four decades. Since reports surfaced that he allegedly apologized for these incidents, he has lost his reputable image and had even led his wife, Camille Cosby, as a target for the said accusers.

According to KSL, the seven women who filed a case against Bill subpoenaed Camille to be deposed on January 6. Subsequently, Bill’s lawyers are fighting against the order, stating, “Information that was subject of confidential communications between Mrs. Cosby and defendant is protected by Massachusetts’ spousal disqualification rule.”

Since Camille was also Bill’s business manager, the complainants felt that it was appropriate that she was to take the stand. However, the seven women namely: Angela Leslie, Joan Tarshis, Barbara Bowman, Louisa Moritz, Linda Traitz, Therese Serignese, and Tamara Green, were only allegedly going to shame Bill’s wife by answering questions about her knowledge of Bill’s indiscretions.

In other news, The Guardian reports that it was not fit for Camille to be involved in the said case since she had no firsthand knowledge about the alleged events that were laid out in the lawsuit filed by these women. An attorney of the complainants, Joseph Cammarata, claimed, “I think she has information that’s relevant to the litigation in this matter.” Despite his claim, both Camille and Bill denied his perceptions.

The comedian did actually claim last 2005 that he acquired potent sedative Quaaludes to give to women with whom he wanted to have sex with before.

At present, Cosby has filed a countersuit of defamation against these complainants saying that they have ruined his reputation and endangered further success of the comedian in the entertainment industry because of their claims.
