Beyonce’s Ivy Park Almost Sold Out But Plagued With Criticism? Singer Afraid Of Kate Moss?
After the successful launch of Beyonce’s active wear line Ivy Park in the United Kingdom, its first batch of designs are almost sold out already.Advertisement
With more than 100 pieces initially released, and with prices ranging from $15 to $265, the sports apparel line of the former Destiny’s Child singer was made available at the Topshop store, Time reported.
It can be noted that Ivy Park is a joint venture with Topshop’s Sir Phillip Green, thus the products have been sold in its UK-based store, where many customers were spotted queuing in long lines on Thursday.
However, when the sports clothes began to be sold to American shoppers online, reports suggested that “Bey-mania had already overtaken physical stores in the UK.”
Amid the fact that Beyonce is indeed a well-celebrated fashion icon and performer, some online sellers might have just made use of that fact.
Accordingly, eBay was reportedly selling the Ivy Park Bodysuit for $150, three times of the $50 original price.
Another notable comment was about the available sizes. Some buyers reportedly claimed that the design they want were still available, yet they could not find that the right size for them.
“XL is a 12 now, is it. Ok then. #IvyPark,” wrote Bizzy (@kickdrumheart) on Twitter, while commenting on Beyonce’s new clothing line availability.
“What’s up with Ivy Park sizes? L/XL on most items is 12-14,” commented Shari Bee (@Lavendermee3). “And this pair of capris in size L/XL is even smaller.”
In the meantime, Mirror UK, while quoting an article by The Sun, reported that the “Bad Boy” artist allegedly snubbed Ivy Park’s launch in London because she was afraid of supermodel Kate Moss.
It was theorized that Queen Bey could have been worried that the 42-year-old model would outshine her.
Do you think there could be truth to this rumor about Beyonce’s absence?
