Amid the reported cases of police brutality, Beyonce has stood up and used her influence to try and effect change. The Alton Sterling and Philando Castile murders affected the artist and more others deeply.

Knowing too well that people are now confused, worried, afraid, and angry, the 34-year-old singer has called on her fans and the public to use fear and frustration towards implementing a concrete action to address the issue, especially the killings, which she calls the “robberies of lives.”

In her official website, Beyonce expressed her thoughts on the matter as she linked her post to the Congress’ general directory, to urge them to act on the spate of killings, USA Today reported.

The former Destiny’s Child member also linked her lengthy letter to the Louisiana legislature and the Minnesota representatives to seek an action for the most recent African-American victims Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, respectively, whose deaths were documented by cellphone cameras.

“We must use our voices to contact the politicians and legislators in our districts and demand social and judicial changes,” Beyonce pointed out.

Sterling was killed on Tuesday while selling CDs and DVDs outside a convenience. In a video, he was seen being pinned down by the police before being shot several times.

The following day, Castle was allegedly gunned down by a police officer who was then conducting a traffic stop.

On Thursday night, during her “Formation World Tour” concert in Glasgow, Beyonce showed off the names of the reported victims of police brutality.

It can be recalled that prior to her post, several fans of Beyonce have speculated that her latest single “Formation” is “anti-police” as its music video featured a young black boy dancing in front of armed police and a New Orleans police car sinking.

In the meantime, American entertainment blogger Perez Hilton shared that the new song from Beyonce is just “AH-mazing!!!” since “It’s got everything — a GORGEOUS Queen Bey, and even a little bit of Blue Ivy!!!
