Super Bowl 50 halftime show had its highlights but the best yet was the fact that Beyonce almost fell off the stage. However, Queen B made it look fab! The 2016 Super Bowl 50 halftime show comprised on an epic performance by Beyonce last night… and she looked like she was a spitting image of Michael Jackson. In fact, The Guardian reported that she looked like she was channeling the late King of Pop’s energy.
However, the singer’s outfit was not the highlight of her performance. While she was dancing to the tune of her new single, “Formation,” The Score reported that Queen Bee lost her balance. She almost fell on her behind but successfully hopped her way out of that embarrassing moment. In fact, it even looked like her move was part of the routine.
In other news, CNN reported that the song Queen Bee performed during the event went under scrutiny when the music video was released prior to her performance. After its release, Chris Black, producer of “That B.E.A.T.,” tweeted his disappointment saying that the “Formation” music video was a rip-off from his creation. His tweet stated, “Why Melina gotta use clips from out doc?!? Was the budget not big enough to spend a week in New Orleans and actually build with the people.”
Another tweet followed, “The funny thing is that our doc is low-key iconic so the audacity to rip and pass it off like we not gonna notice. You outta touch b!” Then, another was posted by the same producer which stated, “At least credit the filmmakers that followed their passions and did the actual work.
Prior to the accusation, a choreographer by the name Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker also claimed that Beyonce ripped off her dance routines in her “Countdown” music video way back in 2011.
Although many artists claimed that Beyonce ripped their stuff, her nearly-falling-off-on-her-behind dance move during the 2016 Super Bowl 50 halftime show performance was clearly not a copy. She even tremendously recovered from that as any other accusations that were thrown at her. You go, B!
