Beyonce Ready For Divorce? Reason For Skipping Emmys Revealed
Contrary to what everyone expected, Beyonce was a no-show at the 68th Emmy Awards on Sunday.Advertisement
While it was previously reported that the 35-year-old “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” singer was going to set the stage on fire, that highly-anticipated performance never happened.
What could have been her reason for skipping the prestigious awards night? Does her husband Jay Z have something to do with it?
It can be noted that her latest single “Lemonade” received four Emmy 2016 nominations – Outstanding Production Design For A Variety, Nonfiction, Event Or Award Special, Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming, Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming and Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special.
Despite the several categories that Beyoncé was nominated for, she failed to win even just one trophy. Could this be a possible reason to snub the 68th Emmy Awards?
In an interview with E! News, TV personality and host John Oliver had his funny way of hinting about the disappointment he felt upon realizing that his chance of sitting near the wife of Jay Z was crushed.
“I saw a seating chart and I was supposed to sit two rows behind her, so all I’ve really been thinking about for the last 48 hours is, ‘I’m going to be able to look at Beyoncé’s head for four hours.’ And she hasn’t turned up,” he shared. “So, this is nice, but this evening generally has a sense of loss in it for me.”
Meanwhile, Vanity Fair sat down with Rita Ora prior to the Emmys and the singer was asked about her current relationship with the music industry’s A-list couple, if she is still “friendly” with them.
“First and foremost, Jay Z is my inspiration and one of my idols—lyrically, musically, business-wise,” she noted. “I still look up to him and his wife every day. Beyoncé was one of my biggest idols growing up.”
Rita Ora is just among the many people who idolize the “Irreplaceable” singer, thus, it is no longer a surprise that a lot of them were disappointed not seeing her at the awarding ceremony over the weekend.
What could really be her valid excuse for not showing up?
As dished by a source to E! News, Beyoncé really “wanted to be there. But at the last minute, decided it was better if she stayed home because she really was feeling that bad.”
