Baywatch movie reboot is the next big thing in Hollywood. Take a dive into the details of the movie inspired by a TV series that was made famous by the presence of ever so popular, Pamela Anderson.


The spectacular star cast of the movie is sure to draw attention. Alexandra Daddario of True Detective will be seen alongside, Dwayne Johnson, The Rock. The duo that played father and daughter in San Andreas will be seen sharing a completely different chemistry.

Zac Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra, Hannibal Buress and David Hasselhoff have prominent roles to play in the movie. The shooting has already commenced at the beaches of Miami and Coming Soon has exclusively shared some pictures from the shoot.

The Baywatch TV series was not an instant hit during its time of airing. It was even cancelled but brought back with Pamela Anderson as C.J. Parker. It was believed to have made all the difference in the career on Anderson as well as the series. After the return, the series ran for a decade. Variety reported that Kelly Rohrbach will be playing the popular character.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, it took quite a long time to start Baywatch movie reboot. The first talk about the reboot was in 2004, but nothing could materialize at that time. Dwayne Johnson wanted to keep some originality in the movie while maintaining the story concept of the original TV series.

While plot details of the movie is still not available, Variety reported that it can have a comic punch at some parts. The cast and crew are all tight-lipped about the plot of the story. Damian Shannon and Mark Swift have drafted the plot.

Seth Gordon of Horrible Bosses fame is roped in to direct the movie. Baywatch movie release date is currently fixed on May 19, 2017. However, it may change depending on the production schedule.
