What's This?

Previous reports indicate that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice would show a darker Batman. A recently released extended clip first seen during the the Conan O’Brien Show two days ago also indicates something about Superman. The clip shows that not only will Batman be darker, Superman will be different… even more deadly.

In two months, “Batman v Superman” will release on theaters, and spoilers have been piling up before the movie hits the screens. The latest one shows Superman appearing different than who he is in the comic books. The clip shows Superman saying, “Next time they shine your light in the sky, don’t go to it. The bat is dead. Bury it. Consider this mercy.”

Superman’s statement may point out that he is threatening Batman’s supremacy in Gotham. In fact, in “Man of Steel,” writer David S. Goyer and director Zack Synder had to change several aspects about the character. Goyer said, “You have to do what’s right for the story. In [Man of Steel], this was a Superman who had only been Superman for like, a week. He wasn’t Superman as we think of him in the DC Comics. If you take Superman out of it, what the right way to tell that story?”

Incidentally, Superman do possess greater superpowers compared to Batman. However, since he gave Batman a warning instead of putting an end to Gotham’s hero, this may mean he still is trying to avoid violence. After all, the rivalry between the two DC Comics heroes started when Batman thought Superman has been a menace to humans since his previous battle ended in great destruction.

It was also revealed that although Superman has an advantage power-wise, Batman has his advantage over the super alien as well. This is because the latter is not reluctant to fight dirty. It fact, as Gotham faces a rivalry between two powerful heroes, the human race may pose as collateral damage.
