Batman V Superman International Trailer Reveals Director’s Dramatic Take On Epic DC Comics Battle
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will release less than two months from now and the franchise has finally released its international trailer. Much like the previous trailers released for the film, there’s not much that was revealed as the others did… only that it showcases how the director, Zack Snyder, will incorporate more drama into the franchise.Advertisement
When “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” director Zack Snyder went on an interview with Empire, he shared photos from the film that showcase behind-the-scenes footage on how the two of the most powerful heroes of DC Comics will battle it out in Gotham. After which, the international trailer for the film was released, reports Collider.
The sneak peek shows that the battle between Batman and Superman will boil down on who gets to earn the highest moral ground. According to Warner Bros., the official synopsis of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is as follows:
“Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.”
Given that, Snyder allegedly wanted to relay the drama of Batman acting like a righteous vigilante for the betterment of Gotham City. Given that Superman possesses god-like powers, the drama of the film revolves greatly around Batman’s ability to act like a superhuman without having to be of immortal origins.
In turn, Batman would act like a murderer – the character who will be the executioner. Superman, on the other hand, will be the one who would threaten the reign of Batman. In fact, a previous trailer shows his dark warning to Gotham’s protector.
Starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavil as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Holly Hunter as Senator Finch, catch Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in theaters this March 25, 2016. This movie has been labeled to feature the best superhero conflict from the DC Comics universe yet.
