Bandai has finally unveiled its plans to release the next-generation exclusive title this year. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been confirmed by the developers to hit Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, the exact release date has not yet been announced.
Bandai plans to reveal more details during E3. The initial trailer featured below give us a glimpse of the characters, environment details, plot, etc. We can expect a gameplay trailer to be shown during E3.
Although the publishers have remained mum about Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the game’s official website has already been launched. As of now, the website only allows us to watch the trailer. Perhaps more trailers will be revealed before E3.
Dargon Ball Xenoverse 1 was released in 2015 for previous and current-generation consoles. The sequel will be available for PC users via Steam.
According to the official press release by Bandai, as reported by Kotaku, “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 is currently in development at famed Osaka, Japan based videogame developer DIMPS.”
The press release by Bandai also explains their reason for dropping the previous-generation console. We presume the sequel would be rendered with advanced graphics to improve the gamer’s experience. The previous Xenoverse title wasn’t a disappointment, but neither was it a total success.
The game was rated 6/10 by Gamespot and also received mediocre reviews by other gaming websites. The upcoming title seems to provide promising elements such as a “new hub city,” character upgrades and add-on features.
