On Saturday, daughter of former president Bill Clinton and Democratic presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton, announced the birth of her second child.
A day after the announcement Chelsea and her husband Mark Mezvinsky shared the first pictures of their son, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky, on social media. “At 7:41 AM Saturday, our family and hearts expanded with Aidan’s arrival,”
Chelsea’s post on Twitter said, “We are blessed.”
The former president also posted a picture of himself meeting his grandson for the first time. He expressed his excitement over the wonderful news. “Aidan has made two dads very happy this Father’s Day,” he wrote. “Hillary and I are thrilled for Marc and Chelsea!”
Hillary Clinton’s tweet, which shares the same excitement, reads, “What a joy being with our new grandson, Aidan. So grateful. -H.”
The tweets can be read at the bottom of the story.
Chelsea said being a parent does require getting used to, as reported by Entertainment Online. “I figured it out, but it took a while to figure it out,” she said. “It also just took lots of, like…it’s swallowing my pride and being comfortable with pumping in airport bathrooms and kind of wherever I needed to get it done.”
“I wish there sort of been a guidebook on how do you think about this really, and how do you make this work?” she added.
As reported by CNBC, Chelsea has campaigned actively for her mother for this year’s presidential election.
Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton said in a joint statement they were “overjoyed” and “over the moon” with their grandchild’s birth.
Chelsea and Mezvinsky married in 2010 and have a nearly 2-year-old daughter, Charlotte.
