At long last, Azealia Banks has managed to grab headlines for the right reasons. After getting her Twitter account suspended for directing racial slurs at Zayn Malik, Banks has finally learned her lesson. She took to Facebook and apologized for her homophobic rant, promising to change for the better.
More than her musical hits, Azealia Banks has been in the limelight as one who bashes celebrities using profane comments and racial remarks. Only last December, she took to Twitter to openly insult Zayn Malik for copying some of her ideas in his music video “Like I Would,” reports BBC. This caused Twitter officials to take steps against her by suspending her account.

According to Yahoo Music, Azealia is ready to make amends for her insensitive behavior in the past. She recently posted a lengthy apology on her Facebook profile which reads:
“Ok, i’m never saying the word F****T ever again. The amount of people that get hurt when i use the word vs. the amount of people i’ve said it to are just not worth it. Honestly… This isn’t a cop out, its just me realizing that words hurt. and while i may be immune to every word and be thicker skinned than most, it doesn’t mean that i get to go around treating people with the same toughness that made my skin so thick.”
She ended her apology by vowing to improve herself in the coming days:
“To end this note i want to SINCERELY apologize to my fans for having let so many of you down over the years. I know that you all want nothing else for me but to see me win, and i thank the many of you who saw the beauty in me and have stuck around this far.”
Some of the stars, apart from Zayn, who have been a target of Azealia’s racial insults in the past include Lil Kim, Beyonce, Iggy Azalea, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, etc.
