What's This?

“Avengers: Infinity War” will feature the best villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film’s writers claim that Thanos will be on par or even better than Loki.

According to Gizmodo, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had a persistent issue regarding its villains. Both the studio and fans agree that Loki’s performance in Thor just set the bar too high.

With Red Skull killed after only one Captain America movie and Iron Man’s villains just evil versions of his suits, it is clear that there is a shortage of good villains. Marvel is set to remedy that problem with the appearance of one of its big boys in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

According to the writers, the first batch of movies are mostly origin stories of the characters and as they continue to develop so will the villains. The first of these ‘improved’ characters will be Thanos a familiar face to those who watched “Age of Ultron” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Cheat Sheet reported that after being teased for so long, he is set to become a main character in the upcoming film. The writers claim he will be one of the best villains in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, capable of going toe to toe will Tom Hiddleston’s Loki.

This seems appropriate given the time and effort invested in hyping up the character would be wasted if he only crashes and burns. It is worth a shot given that the Mad Titan’s personality and backstory are as twisted as it gets.

After gathering all the Infinity Stones and affixes them to his gauntlet controlling reality and destroys half of all sentient life in the universe with a snap of his fingers. He is only ‘defeated’ when he exits his corporeal form and becomes one with the universe and Nebula undoes all his damage.

With such out of this world stuff in his resume, Thanos might get the top villain spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’ll have to watch “Avengers: Infinity War” to find out whether he lives up to the hype.
