Marvel Studios is certainly busy with its MCU schedules, especially with Avengers Infinity War. Earlier this week, the directors of the movie revealed that some details on their shooting location via Instagram. But that wasn’t all.
The Russo Brothers have lately been involving themselves in the progress of other MCU titles as well. Recently during their promotion for Blu-Ray and DVD release of their movie Captain America: Civil War, the filmmakers decided to share more detail on Avengers Infinity War and hype other rumors.
During their promotional event, Anthony and Joe Russo were asked to share their opinion on starring Actress Anna Kendrick as the Squirrel Girl in Avengers Infinity War. Joe Russo surprisingly said, “It would be perfect casting, and we’re huge Anna Kendrick Fans.” But he also admitted [We have our] hands full trying to tell the story with our preexisting characters. Anthony would probably die from exhaustion if we introduced another character.”
While it was disappointing to hear the unfortunate news on Squirrel Girl from Joe Russo, Anthony Russo also added, “That’s not to say we’re not going to introduce a new character.” Comic Book Movie suggests it could be Carol Danvers played by Brie Larson.
Anthony also responded to Captain Marvel role in Avengers Infinity War that “If they ever cast that role, maybe,” he later questioned, “Do you know if they’ve cast it yet?”
The possibility of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel appearing in Avengers; Infinity War is likely to happen as the Russo Bros movie releases closely year before the female solo movie.
Earlier, The Russo Brothers introduced the new Spiderman in Captain America: Civil initially to get the fan’s response. So, it’s possible for the same incident to occur in Avengers infinity War as well. If not, Captain Marvel still has her possibility in the fourth untitled instalment.
