‘Arrow’ Season 5 Spoilers: New Villain From Oliver’s Russian Past?
As per the norm, the big bad of season 4 of “Arrow” has been neutralized by the finale, and speculation has already begun as to who the villain is in the season 5. Will the next one be able to live up to the kind of terror Darhk had imposed in season 4?Advertisement
‘Arrow’ Season 5
‘Arrow’ season 4 has just wrapped up, and people can’t wait for the next installment, which is sure to turn out to be more exciting. With Oliver becoming the mayor of Star City by the end of season 4, it still remains to be seen how well he manages to carry out his “dual responsibility.” Needless to say, he is not ready to hang up his Green Arrow suit, even though his team members have resigned for the time being to deal with their own personal issues.
And when there is a Green Arrow, there has to be a villain. But unlike a villain with superpowers, Stephen Amell teased earlier that season 5 will see “Arrow” going back to its roots, minus any supernatural beings, reports Movie News Guide.
‘Arrow’ Season 5 Plot
Even though little else is known about who the new villain will be, it seems like he is going to have a personal vengeance against Oliver. As revealed by TV Line, a casting call from the producers of “Arrow” was issued for a male actor who can play the role of “James,” a man between 20 to 30 years of age and is “irrepressibly charming.” The character is known to have suffered some kind of a tragic loss in his past and will be holding Oliver responsible for his grief.
Since there has always been a link established between the villain and Oliver’s flashbacks in previous seasons, there is a possibility that the trend will continue in season 5. Furthermore, “Arrow” season 5 is going to reveal how Oliver gets mixed up with the Russian mafia in his past. So will the new villain be connected to that phase of Oliver’s life?
