Ariana Grande Has No Feud With Taylor Swift: ‘I Want To Be On Her Squad!’
Ariana Grande will do anything to join Taylor Swift’s squad. The lady who is currently tagged as a “Dangerous Woman” jokingly said she’ll complete the requirements, whatever those are, to get in the famous group of friends.Advertisement
Asked by Capital FM DJ Roman Kent about her interest in joining Swift’s circle of friends, she mentioned, “Oh wow, That would be so crazy. Do you have to do anything weird to get in? I don’t know the details. All those girls are really nice. I would be so down.”
Of course, this is said in jest. After all, Ariana Grande and Swift are already good friends, Refinery 29 reports. They met, they hugged and they even performed together at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Swift even shared a picture of her hugging Grande at the Grammys.
Grande’s response, however, may come as a surprise to those who believed last year’s reports of them having a fight. According to Radar Online (via The Fix), Swift snubbed Grande at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
An eyewitness told the gossip site that Swift “made it clear to security” not to allow Grande and her brother Frankie near her. “At first, I thought it was just Frankie, but it was crystal clear [Swift] wanted nothing to do with either of them,” the source said.
Joining a group that revolves around Swift, who is all about women empowerment, is a good thing for Grande. She once mentioned that she is “tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY / POSSESSION.”
She added, “I can’t wait to live in a world where people are not valued by who they’re dating / married to / attached to, having sex with (or not) / seen with…but by their value as an individual.”
