What's This?

Has D’Angelo Russell lost the faith of his teammates in Los Angeles Lakers for his controversial video? Well, a recent video of his conversation with Nick Young surfaced to worsen the situation for him. Various Lakers officials are aware of it and are unhappy with the rookie.

One source revealed that, “right now they are handling it by isolating him.” The video shows D’Angelo Russell filming Young while being engaged in a conversation with him. The video surfaced through Twitter account of a celebrity gossip site. Russell was seen asking questions to Young about other women.

Nick Young got engaged to Australian rapper Iggy Azalea last summer. One team insider commented:  “This was a prank gone wrong and a mistake by Russell, and he has to be held accountable, but I would hope he isn’t overly criticized for it”, as reported by the Real GM.

At one point in the video, Russell was seen asking Young: “You was 30 and she was 19?” Referring to Young’s age and the age of the woman he met in the night club.

The “unhappy” Lakers official have chosen not to intervene in the matter until this point. According to sources, No teammates are ready to share the breakfast table with Russell now. The source also added, that Russell once sat beside Lou Williams in the locker-room, who got up and simply walked away.

Russell is seen telling Young in the later part of the video “I’m glad you told my video all that.” “It’s bad,” one team source told ESPN. “It’s about as bad as it can get. There were trust issues already. Now there’s no trust.”

It’s still unclear that how the video came out, the consequential tension in the Lakers’ locker room led to its dismal performance against Utah Jazz in Salt Lake city on Monday. Austin Brown, Russell’s agent declined, to comment when contacted on Tuesday, according to the ABC News.
