Apple Releases ‘Move To iOS’ For Android Users Available On Google Play Store
Hoping that Android users will switch to iOS, Apple has released a ‘Move to iOS’ app on Google Play which will easily transfer data from an Android device to an Apple device.
While Samsung has already tried to convince iOS users to switch to the company’s Android devices, Apple is persuading Android users to move to iOS. Where Apple is still busy working on Apple Music for Android, it has already launched another app with the sole intention to boost iOS sales – or shall we say, to make people give up on Google’s operating system.
The app’s description reads, “Everything about iOS is designed to be easy. That includes switching to it. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content automatically and securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. No need to save your stuff elsewhere before switching from Android. The Move to iOS app securely transfers all kinds of content for you.” When the app says, “all kinds of content,” it means it.
‘Move to iOS‘ will securely transfer the following data to your iOS device from Android device:
2. Camera photos and videos
3. Message history
5. Mail accounts
6. Web bookmarks
How does the transfer work?
To transfer data from one operating system to another, your iOS device will create a private Wi-Fi network to find a nearby Android device running the Move to iOS app. You will then be asked to enter a security code for the device to start migrating your content. The best part is that content will be transferred to the right places.
How Android users will be convinced to switch to iOS is something we are not sure of. But yes, this is good news for people who have already decided to buy an iPhone or an iPad. Before “Move to iOS,” transferring data has never been so easy.
