The drama around Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce continues as the actress plans to make Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston serve as a witness to Brad’s drug and alcohol abuse and anger issues.
“Angelina intended to have her legal team subpoena and depose Jen,” the Radar Online quoted an insider as saying. “She wanted to have her grilled regarding Brad’s past drug and alcohol abuse.”
Jolie also threatened to have her “attack dogs” make Aniston reveal whether Pitt had suffered from anger issues earlier. The move has been described by the insider as “devious” and “ruthless.”
“It was a devious and ruthless move on Angie’s part,” the insider added.
It has been two weeks since Angelina Jolie filed divorce from Brad Pitt citing irreconcilable differences, but Jolie is keeping strong when it comes to her kids, the People magazine reported. According to a source close to the family, Jolie and her kids are have started a therapy.
“It’s been a traumatic situation,” the source said.
In the meantime, a source close to Pitt said that he “has been absolutely devastated and heartbroken by the events of the past several weeks, both in terms of how those events have been wrongfully portrayed and how they have threatened to jeopardize his family’s ability to heal and move forward.”
While Angelina Jolie wants full physical custody of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, Pitt is seeking shared custody. However, in the aftermath of the split Jolie is trying to make her kids adjust to the upended life.
“They didn’t leave the rental house for days,” a source said. “It was hard for all of them. They are used to more activities and more entertainment so it’s difficult for them to just stay at the house. The younger kids don’t understand what’s going on.”
Pitt and Jolie have agreed on a temporary agreement with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services that lasts till October 20. According to the agreement, Jolie got the full custody of the children and Pitt got visitation, which will be done in the presence of a therapist initially.
