After months of skirting the issue of marital problems and divorce rumors, a new report shocked fans—Angelina Jolie reportedly filed for divorce from the father of her six kids, Brad Pitt.
Even though there were rumors circling the couple for months now, fans were quick to say it is impossible, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will not divorce, cannot divorce. Heck, fans were quicker to believe that Angelina Jolie is dead, than believe she and Brad Pitt cannot make their relationship work.
However, TMZ just broke the news that Angelina Jolie already filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. Allegedly, she already filed the legal docs on Monday. On these documents, Jolie reportedly cited that she and Brad Pitt have irreconcilable differences. TMZ’s sources however, specifically claimed that the differences lie with how they parent and nurture their six kids.
The documents also detailed how the actress asked for physical custody of their six children. If this pass in court, the judge will only grant Pitt visitation. She must be really mad about how Pitt is carrying out her daddy tasks because she did not event want Brad to have joint physical custody of the kids, only joint legal custody!
Today truly is a sad day for fans who have always believed their unconventional family is imperfectly perfect.
TMZ added that no third party influenced this decision, although of course, fans can make up their own minds about this issue. After all, several names have already been linked to the couple’s marital troubles for months now!
The entertainment site also detailed that the “Maleficent” actress is not at all seeking spousal support from her famous husband. The document also revealed that the the date of separation is Sept. 15, 2016.
Prior to this, The Hollywood Gossip reported that Jolie and Pitt’s divorce can reach as high as $400 million. At the time though, most chucked it as a funny rumor.
Fans are certainly heartbroken right now. It is still vivid in people’s minds how they romantically got married back in August 2014, with the six kids playing special part on the wedding. Even though they married only two years ago, they’ve been together since 2004, ever since they worked on the now infamous “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”
