Since the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to several phones, Xiaomi fans have been waiting in patience for the update to arrive on the Mi 4. The device was recently spotted on Xiaomi’s forum, which indicates that the phone has started receiving the update.
The Beijing-based company had confirmed in December that the Mi 4 and Mi Note devices will receive the MIUI 7-based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. However, the company recently announced that the update will roll out to Mi 4.
The update to the latest Mi 4 device with build number MMB29M weighs 100MB. The latest update welcomes a slew of new tweaks and features in the UI to help your phone run more smoothly and efficiently.
Reports suggest that the status bar showing in your device will offer global support for all apps. Meanwhile, the file management UI will be more intuitive and user-friendly. Users can expect customized menus packed with more features in the new Marshmallow update. However, there won’t be any alterations to the Quick-charging feature.
Also, some important upgrades to battery life will let you enjoy a more powerful battery capacity in the phone. However, there won’t be changes to the main software features of the MIUI 7 and MIUI 7.1. Significant changes in color reproduction and minor changes in the camera app will add more scopes to the Mi 4 device, reports BGR.
