Amy Schumer Says Being In Limelight Feels Like ‘Ticking Bomb,’ Says Will Likely Annoy Someone
American stand-up comedian and actress Amy Schumer said she is enjoying the attention she is getting from everyone on her side but feels like it is a ticking time bomb.
In a report from E online, Schumer cracked jokes on “having everyone on her side” and shared “how being a woman in the industry ‘f***ing sucks.’” She said it is inevitable that she would say something that would not be taken coolly by someone. She said she knew she is just waiting for that time to come.
“I truly feel I’m getting a lot of attention right now and it’s just a ticking time bomb,” she said in a jest.
“Like, I wonder what the thing is going to be that will make people want to burn me at the stake,” Schumer added as quoted by E online.
“There’s no way to control it. I think it will be really arbitrary and a misunderstanding. But yeah, I’m really enjoying the love right now.”
The comedian-actress dropped hints on how could it be possible for people to react negatively on her statements.
“I know inevitably, I’ll get more political, just as an adult with changing interests, which is good — no one wants to hear me talk about who I f***ed or whatever for another twenty years.”
And while she is having the time of her life, she nevertheless disclosed a drawback to her gender.
“It’s exhausting. I’m very annoyed by all the physical stuff—the heels, the makeup outfits, versus my male counterparts who are rolling out of bed. Women are accomplishing more and more, and men are plateauing, so there are these insane expectations of you’ll be. You really are kind of encouraged to accomplish everything, and then you get to realize, ‘But not too much—make everyone comfortable,” she said in conclusion.
