Even with all the drama surrounding the launch of Starbucks’ red holiday cup, Dunkin’ Donuts did not think twice about coming out with their own. And in case anyone has doubts that these cups are for the holidays, Dunkin’ Donuts made sure to label these cups “Joy.”
The latest “Joy” cup from Dunkin’ Donuts was introduced to the donut giant’s followers by way of Instagram. Reactions range from happy to outrageous. Meanwhile, some are even congratulating the marketing department of Dunkin’ Donuts for beating Starbucks in this year’s holiday cup wars.
With the latest design of Dunkin’ Donuts’ holiday cup already out there, the restaurant now wants to focus on what it does best: holiday food. This holiday season, Dunkin’ Donuts says that they have three returning holiday coffee flavors along with two brand new donut treats as well as a number of stocking stuffers.
As for the coffees, Dunkin’s Donuts is bringing back the Sugar Cookie Coffees for coffee lovers who want a traditional taste of frosted holiday sugar cookies in their cup. Meanwhile, there is also the Snickerdoodle Cookie Coffees, which evoke flavors of sugar and cinnamon. At the same time, Dunkin’ Donuts has also decided to bring back its Peppermint Mocha Coffees that combine rich chocolate with cool peppermint. These holiday beverages are available as hot, iced, latte or macchiato all day long.
Meanwhile, Dunkin’ Donuts is also introducing the new Snickerdoodle Croissant donut. This is a glazed donut filled with some cookie dough buttercreme, drizzled with white icing then topped with some cinnamon streusel topping. Meanwhile, there’s also the new Caramel Cheesecake Square, which is actually a square donut filed with cheesecake filing then frosted with caramel icing and topped with chocolate caramel candy cups.
As for stocking stuffers, Dunkin’ Donuts has several varieties of packaged coffee and K-Cup pods available, including the new Gingerbread House Package and K-Cup Donut Box Variety Pack.
