Steven Brundage, the America’s Got Talent 2016 contestant who impressed the judges with a Rubik’s Cube trick but could not make it to the live shows, will return to the show next week on a wild card entry. The magician urged his fans to sign an online petition seeking his return on the show.
Brundage announced his return on America’s Got Talent 2016 as a wild card contestant on Twitter.
“It’s official!!! I’m am coming back to @nbcagt as a wild card! Thank you for all the amazing…” he wrote on Twitter on Monday.
He wowed all the four judges and the audience at the America’s Got Talent 2016 auditions with his Rubik’s Cube trick and gained the opportunity to perform in the next round.
During the Judge Cuts round two weeks ago, Brundage managed to please the judges with his Rubik’s Cube and Card tricks, but at the end of the show Mel B, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandell jointly decided to eliminate him as they could only send seven out of twenty acts to the live shows.
Brundage, of Saratoga Springs, will perform before the judges and the audience on August 2. His fans can help him advance to the next round by voting for him. The result of the votes will be announced the following episode, the Saratogian reported.
The magician said that the routine he performed so far on America’s Got Talent 2016 were tried by him for about 10,000 times. But the ones he is going to perform on the live shows are newer to him.
“The competition is getting tougher and tougher,” he said as quoted by the Saratogian. “When you’re first doing it, there’s acts that aren’t very good that you know aren’t going to go through. Now, it’s 12 acts narrowed down to six.”
