The renewal of “American Horror Story” for season 6 was recently revealed over four months ago. Although, at present, there has been no exact date that has been decided upon, series creator, Ryan Murphy, has revealed which of the cast members would still be in by next season.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Murphy attended the PaleyFest last Sunday night and sadly, failed to reveal what the the upcoming season’s theme would be. However, he did say, “The interesting thing about this season is we’ve been working on two ideas at once, which we’ve never done. I don’t want to say what it is, but I will tell you that every darling person up here that wants to come back can come back.”
Murphy also revealed, “I think the show has always felt to me like an opera. So I think both of the things we’re writing right now will have a certain feel. But, I think I know what the winner is.”
The ‘darlings’ that the creator was referring to were Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Sarah Paulson, Wes Bentley, Angela Bassett, Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock, and Cheyenne Jackson. These cast members were with Murphy during the said event. Additionally, it was also speculated that Paulson Bassett and Lady Gaga may also return to the series and continue her acting career in the upcoming “American Horror Story” season 6.
In other news, Variety reported that the show’s executive producer, Tim Minear and the show’s other creator, Brad Falchuk, also joined the cast and Murphy on stage.
