Alcatel OneTouch Becomes Official Smartphone And Tablet Partner Of LA Galaxy, StubHub Center

Alcatel has teamed up with LA Galaxy FC and their home stadium, the StubHub Center, to act as the official smartphone and tablet partner of both the team and the multiple-use sports stadium.


Alcatel will mostly keep its focus on pre-game fan experience, digital campaign, brand advertising and social media. Apart from this, the company will be providing support for LA Galaxy’s community engagement programs in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.

This is a promotional deal the company has brought in order give fans a chance to test Alcatel products at home games in the StubHub Center. The social media promotions and in-game will allow fans to win products.

Alcatel is not new to the world of football. The company previously teamed up with Toronto FC in the last year and this time it has chosen LA Galaxy FC.

Steve Cistulli, senior VP and general manager of North America Alcatel OneTouch, said, “The opportunity to partner with the LA Galaxy – our home MLS club – with such a legendary history, is very exciting as we continue to strengthen and grow our brand here in North America.”

Steve also added, “By continuing our MLS investment, we’re not only able to tap into one of the youngest and most socially engaged audiences in North American professional sports, but are also able to work with the LA Galaxy to directly engage with our local community.”

LA Galaxy President Chris Klein said, “We are excited to partner with ALCATEL ONETOUCH in an effort to further engage fans of the LA Galaxy and fans of soccer in North America.”

In his words: “This strategic partnership allows for us to utilize ALCATEL ONETOUCH as we drive social and digital engagement across multiple platforms.”

The deal between the two partner starts today with the match of LA Galaxy FC game against New York City FC. The press release that broke out the news also mentioned that this is a multi-year deal to allow the company get a wider audience.
