What's This?

Samsung is rumored to implement the 3D Touch on its new phones.

Force Touch or 3D Touch is not a new feature. It gained more popularity after Apple incorporated it in its two latest phones, “iPhone 6S” and “iPhone 6S Plus.”

As we all know, Samsung is working on a powerful smartphone called Galaxy S7. This phone is said to be coming to the market with a super powerful battery and a foldable display.

The latest rumor is that Samsung Galaxy S7 will sport 3D Touch as the company wants users to be able to control a maximum number of features with just a single button. If we believe the rumors, Samsung is said to have submitted a patent back in April 2014 titled, “Touch Input Apparatus and Electronic Device Having Thereof.”

How will 3D Touch work?

Whether Force Touch will deal with an attachable cover or a keyboard on mobile display is not clear yet. But to give you an idea, this is how it may work.

Suppose if Galaxy S7 brings 3D Touch to the keyboard. Each key will respond differently depending on the pressure exerted. For example, a light pressure on the ” a”key will give you lowercase a, while a hard press will give you a capital alphabet. Samsung may not restrict this feature to a button on the smartphone but may also bring you accessories that incorporate this feature. Also, it may work on the user interface and not only on the in-built keyboard. Keep watching this space for more updates on Samsung Galaxy S7.
