Adrien Broner’s fiancée Arie Nicole has assured boxing fans that the former four-division world champion is now in stable condition. Friends of Broner are also confident that he will get through his recent bout with depression.
Earlier this week, Broner caused great distress among his peers when he posted a series of suicidal messages on social media. He apologized to his loved ones and said he was “going home” soon.
“3PM I’m doing it,” read one of his Instagram post. “I’m sorry to my family and friends but I don’t want to be here no more.” Two hours later, he posted a photo of a handgun resting on the console of his car.
No one knows for sure what Broner is presently worried about. In a phone interview with The Guardian, his longtime adviser and close friend Sam Watson said, “I’m not sure what’s going on but I talked to him yesterday and he was fine. I’m sure he’s OK.”
Arie Nicole stated the same thing on her official Snapchat account. Player Wives noted that Broner and Nicole have one child together named Adrieon. Broner is also the father figure to Nicole’s three other children.
After the 27-year-old boxer sent out his suicidal messages, many in the comment section begged him to think of his family, especially his children. The couple’s Instagram feeds are flooded with adorable snapshots and videos of their young tots.
It wasn’t always hugs and kisses in the boxer’s household. Broner and Nicole hit a rough patch in May 2015 when they publicly accused each other of cheating.
On a trip to Las Vegas to see a Floyd Mayweather fight, Broner complained on Instagram that Nicole did not want him back in their home. She responded by saying that Broner had cheated on her while in Sin City.
Broner proposed to Nicole in November 2015, three years after he pretended to propose to her after winning a boxing match. Broner reportedly spent $137,000 on the wedding ring, as per TMZ.
