TVs, laptops and whatnot? It looks like gaming is the future, as almost all of the well-known brands are focusing on manufacturing devices for gamers. After LG, Apple and HP, Acer is now expanding its Predator series to bring more gaming monitors to the market.
Acer is coming with two new 27-inch gaming monitors -XB271HU and XB271HK. Both upcoming monitors will be packed with NVIDIA G-Sync technology. With this technology, the new Acer Predator XB1 series monitors will:
reduce screen tearing
minimize input lag
reduce display shutter
sharpen gaming views
Both monitors will have 100-percent sRGB color gamut and 4ms gray-to-gray response time. Where Predator XB271HU will don WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS panel, XB271HK will come with 4K UHD (3840 × 2160 @60Hz) panel. The first model will also have a 350 cd/m2 brightness and up to 165Hz refresh rate. The other one has 1.07 billion colors and 300 cd/m2 brightness.
The new Predator gaming monitors feature Acer Eye Protect Technology that protects user’s eyes from blue light emitted from monitors. Now, even long gaming sessions won’t tire your eyes. GameView technology is another wonderful feature that helps gamers toggle among three display profiles. How does that help? It allows players to tweak in-game settings without having to navigate through an OSD menu. So players do not have to worry about the ticking clock while making necessary changes.
This new XB1 series will offer a USB 3.0 hub, HDMI and a DisplayPort v1.2. The Predator XB271HU as well as the XB271HK will be available at all leading retail stores this month. Whereas the HU will cost you $799, you will have to pay $899 for the HK model.
