68th Emmy Awards: Rami Malek Lead Actor In A Drama Series For Mr. Robot – Facts You Need To Know

Hollywood’s Rami Malek has been known for playing as a supporting actor in Night at the Museum and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. But the 35 year old actor gained a mass fan following in his breakout acting as Elliot Alderson in Mr. Robot TV Series.


Since then, Rami Malek has been nominated for many awards thanks to his outstanding performance. Earlier this year, Malek bagged his first as “Best Actor in a Drama Series” for Mr. Robot by Critics Choice Television Awards.

Recently, The Golden Globe nominee was nominated for the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards. Rami Malek will be competing with Kevin Spacey from House of Cards, Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul and others for winning an award in Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Fans are hoping Rami Malek would bag the award as the critical acclaimed Mr. Robot has been successful for its plot and Malek’s portrayal of Elliot as well. Recently, the actor also revealed his reaction for the nomination during an interview with THR. He said, “I was pretty much just trying to get some rest, and trying everything I could not to thinks about it.”

While Rami Malek is currently with his schedule for Mr. Robot, fans can also soon expect to see him in Buster’s Mal Heart movie premiering at Toronto International Film Festival this year.

While Rami Malek is expected to bag his first Primetime Emmy Awards this year, Mr. Robot TV Series has also been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. However, fans are expecting Game of Thrones to bag the award.

The 68th Primetime Emmy Award winners will be announced on September 18th at 7:00PM ET/ 4:00PM PT on ABC. It has also been revealed that Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the event as well.
