The episode’s storyline started when Kimmy and Dong, played by Ki Hong Lee, went to Poconos and stayed in an abandoned hotel. On their first night, Kimmy is not keen on getting intimate with Dong as she always slaps him with a telephone when he inches his way on her.

On their second day, Kimmy realized that sex and romance do not go well together but decided to give it a try and bought a box of condoms. However, Dong was allergic to latext which resulted to Kimmy having to call an ambulance. This then led to Dong’s facing deportation and Kimmy suggested a hook-up while he was handcuffed. The lead star then returned and devastated because of the memory.

Ellie Kemper’s role Kimmy Schmidt is about a cheerful woman who is starting her life all over again in New York City after 15 years of being in a cult, Golderby said.
