What's This?

Are you looking for Windows 10 antivirus programs that would protect your system without eating up hard drive space or affecting processing power? Then this is a piece of news you shouldn’t be missing.

AV-TEST recently tested 20 antivirus programs to figure out which ones are suitable for Microsoft’s latest operating system “Windows 10.” Out of 20, AV-Test has given full marks to 4 programs: Avira Antivirus Pro, Bitdefender Internet Security, Kaspersky Lab Internet Security and Symantec Norton Security. The scores of these programs depended on three factors:

  1. Protection

  2. Performance

  3. Usability

Protection was about how many threats a particular antivirus program can block, Performance was based on how each of the programs affected the system’s resources, and Usability was about how easy it is to operate the program. In this test, other well-known antivirus software were also tested: Quick Heal Total Security, BullGuard Internet Security, K7 Computing Total Security, etc. Here is the chart of rankings AV-Test published on its site:

As you can see above, while most of the programs managed to get near-perfect scores, other antivirus software lagged behind in the competition. Even though software like McAfee Internet Security, Trend Micro Internet Security and F-Secure Internet Security did not score perfect marks, theyare still highly recommend for your system’s safety.

There are more evaluators in the industry, and AV-Test is just one of them. But AV-Test is one of the most consistent evaluators in the race. Their results can be trusted. So if you already have Windows 10, or if you are about to get your system updated, you now know which antivirus programs to use in order to keep your PC safe from threats.
