What's This?

The 2017 Acura NSX is here and it is definitely worth the wait. It is beautiful, almost the embodiment of motor perfection. And it is powerful. Blink and it will roar past you in seconds.

The brand new, next-generation Acura NSX was years in the making. In fact, it was way back in 2012 when designer Michelle Christensen had been approached to transform the iconic vehicle into one that pays homage to the classic NSX, but clearly tells everyone there’s no way but forward from here. Not to mention Christensen also found herself speaking the new Acura design language. The project has been such a profound experience for her that she said, “It has brought supercar energy to everything we’re working on.”

The new NSX is beyond beautiful. It is breathtaking with its sleek lines and bold contour. It speaks of power while clearly reflecting its racing legacy. At the heart of every next-generation NSX is an engine that has been assembled by hand. Six master builders worked together for five hours to produce one engine. And the result is unparalleled power.

The 2017 Acura NSX proudly utilizes a 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged DOHC V6 engine capable of a power output of 143 hp/liter. It has three motors and an exhilarating 9-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. Meanwhile, The Road Show reports that this car can shoot from 0 to 60 in about 3 seconds. Nonetheless, while it can be a beast on the track, it can be a perfect gentleman on the road.

In fact, as far as fuel economy goes, it can do 20 in the city, 22 in the highway and 21 if you do a combination. And with regard to driving safety, comfort and convenience, the 2017 Acura NSX also features cruise control, climate control, a HomeLink Remote System and many more.

So far, the 2017 Acura NSX has been getting good reviews. Acura even says that late night legend and super car collector Jay Leno approves of it.
